Okinawa Times led with a report claiming that it has learned from the U.S. Marines that the Combat Assault Battalion at III Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Courtney in Uruma City, Okinawa, has been disbanded and the majority of its personnel have been placed under the command of the 4th Marine Regiment at Camp Schwab. The paper speculated that the camp functions are being strengthened with the addition of several hundred ground troops in line with the relocation of Futenma Airfield.
