Japan names new ambassador to Croatia

TOKYO — The Japanese government appointed on Tuesday university professor Misako Kaji as the country’s new ambassador to Croatia, effective Wednesday.

 

Kaji, 61, joined the Foreign Ministry in 1981 and served as an envoy to the Permanent Mission of Japan to the International Organizations in Geneva. She began teaching at Hitotsubashi University’s Graduate School of Law in 2017.
