Tokyo—On April 25, Okinawa Governor Denny Tamaki gave a lecture at Waseda University in Tokyo. “Okinawa is in a state that can only be described as undemocratic,” he declared. “I would like people to look at the landfill work in Henoko together with the current state of democracy in Japan.” In this way, he called every citizen to think about what democracy is. The lecture was attended by about 700 people. (Abridged)
