Okinawa assembly approves letter of protest over incident involving two bodies

In a special session held on April 26, the Okinawa prefectural assembly unanimously approved a resolution and a letter of opinion to protest the incident in which a sailor attached to the U.S. Marine Corps allegedly killed his Japanese girlfriend and committed suicide in Chatan. The letter is addressed to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, U.S. Ambassador to Japan William Hagerty, and others. (Abridged)
