On May 10, Nippon Ishin (Japan Innovation Party) leader and Osaka Mayor Ichiro Matsui and Osaka Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura held meetings with Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Secretary-General Toshihiro Nikai, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasutoshi Nishimura, and other top government and LDP officials. They confirmed cooperation on the G20 summit to be held in Osaka in June and the Osaka World Expo to be held in 2025.
