HIROSHIMA — Auto parts manufacturers Y-Tec and Keylex, both based in the town of Kaita, Hiroshima Prefecture, will build a new plant in the southern U.S. jointly with Toyoda Iron Works, which is headquartered in the city of Toyota, Aichi Prefecture. The plan is based on the assessment that they can expect to receive stable orders following the decisions by Mazda Motor and Toyota Motor, their main clients, to begin producing finished cars [in the U.S.] in 2021. The trio of companies plans to invest some 24 billion yen and aims to achieve sales of close to 40 billion yen in fiscal 2023. (Abridged)
