Okinawa Times and Ryukyu Shimpo led with reports on a rally held on Sunday in Chatan, Okinawa, to protest the incident in which a U.S. Navy sailor allegedly killed a local woman and committed suicide in Chatan in April. According to the organizer of the event, some 450 people participated and adopted a statement calling for measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
