Japan and Saudi Arabia agreed to cooperate in “carbon recycling,” which aims to recycle carbon dioxide emissions generated from thermal power generation. With the world shifting to a low-carbon society, Japan will seek the cooperation of the oil-producing country as it is committed to recycling CO2 due to its heavy reliance on thermal power energy. As the chair of next year’s G20 summit, Saudi wants to keep carbon recycling as a topic of continual discussion. (Abridged)
