Representatives of more than 95 nations to participate in Hiroshima memorial ceremony

NHK reported online today that the city government of Hiroshima announced at a news conference this morning that the ambassadors or representatives of at least 95 countries and the EU will participate in this year’s Peace Memorial Ceremony on Aug. 6. Among the nuclear powers, the UK, France, and Russia will be sending their representatives, while China and India have conveyed their regrets. The city said it has not received a response from the U.S. or North Korea.
