Japan, China, ROK foreign ministers meet with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang

NHK reported today that Foreign Minister Kono and his Chinese counterpart Wang and South Korean counterpart Kang met with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang earlier today at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. It was agreed at the meeting that the three countries will work closely to achieve the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and cooperate toward holding a trilateral summit later this year. NHK also reported that the three foreign ministers put together a document after their meeting yesterday on cooperation with third countries, particularly Asian countries, based on the principles of transparency and openness in such areas as sustainable economy, environmental conservation, disaster prevention and reduction, public health, poverty reduction, and people-to-people exchanges.
