Yomiuri, Sankei, and Nikkei noted that final arrangements are being made for Foreign Minister Kono to hold talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif in Yokohama this evening, projecting that they are likely to exchange views on the Iran nuclear accord and the U.S. initiative to launch a coalition of the willing to defend sea lanes in the Middle East. The papers said Kono will probably urge the Iranian official to comply with the nuclear pact. Zarif is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Abe tomorrow.
