Aso, Pence agree to develop Japan-U.S. economic ties

New York, Sept. 24 (Jiji Press)–Japanese Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Taro Aso and U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, in a meeting on Tuesday, agreed on a policy to develop their countries’ economic relations in a stable manner.


The accord came just before Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and U.S. President Donald Trump hold a meeting in New York on Wednesday to confirm the final agreement of bilateral trade negotiations.


Aso is visiting New York to join the summit meeting. His talks with Pence lasted about 30 minutes.
