SAPPORO — Rush Street, a major player in U.S. real estate development, has announced its choice of architectural and design offices for its initiative to develop in Hokkaido an integrated resort (IR) featuring a casino. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP of the United States will be in charge of the architecture. Takano Landscape Planning Co., Ltd. (Sapporo City) will handle the design.
Rush Street set up an office in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, in September 2018 and has been releasing information about IR development, consulting with those involved in IRs, and ascertaining regional needs by conducting online surveys. (Abridged)
