The number of passenger ships currently scheduled to make calls at the Port of Yokohama in 2020 will reach 260, the Kanagawa Shimbun learned from the Yokohama city government on Nov. 17. The number will exceed 200 for the first time on account of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games and an increasing number of cruises departing from and arriving in Yokohama by foreign passenger ships. The number of arrivals in 2020 is expected to surpass the record high of 190 marked in 2019. (Abridged)
