The government has formulated domestic measures in preparation for the effectuation of the Japan-U.S. trade agreement. It will set up special sections for Japanese industrial products on overseas e-commerce websites to support exports. The government envisages that trading houses and other companies will buy products made by smaller companies and set up shops on overseas e-commerce websites to sell them. Such products are expected to be sold on e-commerce websites in the U.S., China, and the member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
