Japan, China, S. Korea agree to promote youth exchanges

Beijing, Jan. 10 (Jiji Press)–The education ministers of Japan, China and South Korea at their meeting in Beijing on Friday adopted a joint statement calling for promoting youth exchanges among the three countries and strengthening their cooperation in education.

 

“It’s very important for the three countries to continue meetings of their education ministers and further promote their cooperation for the future,” Japanese education minister Koichi Hagiuda said at the meeting.

 

This was the third meeting of the three countries’ education ministers. The first meeting took place in January 2016.

 

On the sidelines of the tripartite session, Hagiuda held bilateral meetings with Chinese Education Minister Chen Baosheng and South Korean Education Minister Yoo Eun-hae.
