Organizers of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics on Wednesday unveiled the designs for tickets for the Games this summer decorated in traditional Japanese colors with pictograms.

The upper half of an Olympic ticket will be colored in kurenai (crimson red), ai (indigo blue), fuji (wisteria purple) or matsuba (pine leaf green), bearing a pictogram of the sport. In the lower half, information such as seat and gate number will be printed.

The four colors will also be used to decorate the venues to match the color of the ticket for the sport.

The upper and lower parts of Olympic tickets will be swapped for the design for tickets for the Paralympic Games.

The organizers said they will unveil the designs of tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies at a later date.
