Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met with Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Chairman Mitsuo Ohashi at the Prime Minister’s Office on Jan. 24. Ohashi said they talked about the re-election of Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen in the Jan. 11 presidential race. Ohashi also said he believes the prime minister “felt reassured by the latest result.”
