U.S. Navy deploys two unmanned aircraft in Guam

NHK reported online that the U.S. Navy released a statement on Sunday saying that it has deployed two MQ-4C Tritons in Guam. Noting that the U.S. is increasingly alarmed by China’s growing naval power in the Western Pacific, as evidenced by its commissioning its second carrier and militarizing artificial islands in the South China Sea, the network said the deployment of the unmanned aerial vehicles in Guam in addition to U.S. Air Force’s Global Hawk is aimed at strengthening surveillance of the Chinese military.
