All national dailies wrote that Tokyo prosecutors on Thursday obtained a fresh arrest warrant for former Nissan Chairman Carlos Ghosn on the charge of violating the Immigration Act by illegally departing Japan while on bail. The prosecutors also obtained arrest warrants for three Americans on suspicion of abetting Ghosn’s escape. The papers wrote that according to the prosecutors, Ghosn met with one of the Americans at least four times at his attorney’s office. The paper wrote that one of the American suspects is a former Green Beret. NHK broadcast a similar report yesterday afternoon.
