Total of 11 people denied entry to Japan due to coronavirus

NHK reported online that as of Monday, Japan had denied entry to 11 foreigners who have stayed in or have passports issued in Hubei Province to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. According to the network, 19 people who have stayed in the province or have passports issued there requested permission to enter Japan during the period from Feb. 1 to 3. Eight of them were rejected and three of them withdrew their requests. The remaining eight people were granted entry in view of special circumstances.
