All national papers reported that Nissan plans to halt its auto assembly lines in Fukuoka for two days due to the delay in the delivery of parts from China, saying that the coronavirus outbreak is having adverse effects on Japanese corporate activities. Toyota is also reportedly slowing its production of auto parts at some factories as operations at assembly plants in China are still suspended. The dailies also noted that almost all international cruise ships have decided to call off their planned visits to Japan this month and that more than 60% of regular commercial flights between Japan and China for this week have been suspended.
