Three people in Hokkaido, including two minors, test positive for COVID-19

NHK reported at noon that three additional people, including two minors, have tested positive for COVID-19 in Hokkaido, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus in the prefecture to eight. The government of Hokkaido reportedly announced that the two minors are brothers who go to elementary school in Naka Furano. The other patient is a female quarantine officer in her 40s who works at a quarantine office at Shin Chitose Airport. The boys reportedly developed fever on Feb. 15 and 18, respectively, were hospitalized, and tested positive on Friday. Both of them are reportedly recovering. The female quarantine officer developed a mild fever on Feb. 16 and her temperature went up the next day. She visited a medical institution on Feb. 18 and tested positive today. She is in stable condition, but will be hospitalized. None of the three had traveled abroad during the 14 days prior to developing symptoms.
