While airlines are reducing their flights between Japan and China due to the coronavirus outbreak, ANA Holdings operated two round-trip cargo flights between Narita Airport and Shanghai between the evening of Feb. 23 and the morning of Feb. 25. The flights were arranged in response to a small recovery in demand for cargo as some factories in China resume operations, and a request from Japan Post, which had a backlog of deliveries to China.

About 40 tons of supplies, such as masks and protective gear, were transported on the Feb. 23 evening flight to China. The return flight to Japan transported about 100 tons of automobile parts and electronic components.
