Arrival of Japan-bound flights from China, ROK to be limited to Narita and Kansai airports

NHK reported on Transport Minister Akaba’s press remarks earlier today that his ministry has asked domestic and international airlines to have their Japan-bound flights from China and South Korea use only Narita and Kansai International Airports as part of enhanced border control measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. According to the minister, 530 of the 1,060 weekly flights between Japan and Chinese and ROK cities will be asked to arrive at the two designated airports instead of their usual destinations starting on March 9.
