NHK reported on a press briefing by Tokyo Governor Koike this afternoon. Concerning the stay-at-home request for last weekend, Koike reportedly said: “Thanks to everyone’s cooperation, many refrained from going out. Although it is the end of the fiscal year, I strongly request further cooperation on weekdays as well.” On the 68 additional cases confirmed in Tokyo on Sunday, Koike reportedly said: “Many of the cases are related to a possible in-hospital infection, but we need to investigate the details of cases for which the routes of infection are unknown.” In addition, Koike said: “I have been asking people to refrain from going out at night since last week. I will meet with the members of a MHLW taskforce on cluster infections today to learn their analysis in order to develop strategies.”
