Tokyo, April 16 (Jiji Press)–Japan’s Cabinet Office said Thursday it will postpone a monthly ministerial meeting on the economy slated for Friday, with the new date yet to be decided.
It is unusual for the meeting to be put off. The Cabinet Office did not reveal the reason for the delay.
Economic and fiscal policy minister Yasutoshi Nishimura was scheduled to give a briefing about the country’s economy at Friday’s meeting, which was set to be attended by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and others.
