Starting from May 18, the Zama Ayase Medical Association will operate a group PCR testing station for the new coronavirus. The location of the site will not be made public to protect patients’ privacy as well as to avoid confusion.
Tests will be performed by doctors who are members of the association. A drive-thru approach will be used to take specimens from patients. Those who are eligible to take tests are limited to Zama and Ayase residents whose family doctors’ diagnoses indicate they should be tested. The testing station will open from 13:00 to 1500 on Monday through Friday. Those who are taking tests will be given the time and date of the test by their family doctors.
