The transportation ministry will set up an expert committee by the end of this month to examine how to operate the new flight paths above central Tokyo for aircraft arriving at Haneda Airport and whether the paths can be changed.

According to the ministry, the panel will comprise experts in air traffic safety electronics and aeronautical engineering as well as pilots. They will discuss how to operate the new flight routes to reduce noise pollution and whether it is possible to change the new routes. (Abridged)
