Email bomb threat received for Tokyo Immigration Bureau and Shibuya Police Station

The Immigration Services Agency of Japan announced on June 11 that it received an email message threatening to bomb the Tokyo Regional Immigration Services Bureau, and that its customer service will be suspended on June 12. The agency will cooperate with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to increase vigilance. According to the agency, the bomb threat was sent on the morning of June 10 to an email address operated by the Tokyo Regional Immigration Services Bureau. The message said there would be an “explosion at 3:30 p.m. on June 12 inside immigration facilities.” According to police sources, the message also included a bomb threat for Shibuya Police Station.
