All national papers reported that a total of 211 people tested positive for the novel coronavirus across the nation yesterday, including 106 in Tokyo. Nearly 66% of the patients in Tokyo are in their 20s or 30s. The overall caseload for Tokyo over the past seven days was 748, or 5.3 per 100,000 people, exceeding the level that prompted the GOJ to declare a state of emergency in early April. A total of 47 new cases were reported in Kanagawa, Chiba, and Saitama.
