64 new COVID-19 cases confirmed among U.S. military community in Okinawa

Sunday’s Yomiuri and Sankei wrote that the Okinawa Prefectural Government announced on Saturday that 64 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed among the U.S. military community on Saturday. The papers wrote that 36 cases were confirmed at Camp Hansen, 26 at MCAS Futenma, and one each at Kadena Air Base and Camp Foster. Yomiuri wrote that this brought the total number of COVID-19 cases among the U.S. military community in Okinawa to 229, surpassing the 186 cases confirmed among local residents in the prefecture.
