Japan gravely concerned about arrest of pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong

Yomiuri and Mainichi wrote that Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga commented on Tuesday on the arrest by Hong Kong police of a newspaper publisher and pro-democracy activists under the new national security law by saying that Japan is watching the situation in Hong Kong with grave concern. He added that Hong Kong is an extremely important partner for Japan due to their close economic ties and people-to-people exchanges.
