Sept. 11 marks six months since the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the novel coronavirus a global pandemic. A total of 828 people have been found to be infected with the virus at quarantine stations at Japanese airports as of Sept. 10, and 90% of them were asymptomatic.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), a quarantine station at a Japanese airport first confirmed an individual to be infected with the COVID-19 on March 4. Of the 828 total confirmed cases, 328 were Japanese and 500 were non-Japanese. At least 769 of them, 93% of total cases, showed no symptoms. (Abridged)
