U.S. civilian base worker arrested for DUI in Naha

The Naha Police Station arrested a U.S. civilian base worker affiliated with the U.S. Marine Corps on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Act (driving under the influence of alcohol) on Aug. 13. According to the police station, the man denies the charge, saying that he thought the “alcohol had completely left his system.”

 

The allegation is that the civilian base worker was driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 13 around 7:10 a.m. on a municipal road in the Wakasa district of Naha. (Slightly abridged)
