National Security Advisor Kitamura to meet with counterpart in U.S.

NHK reported that National Security Secretariat Secretary General Kitamura, who was reappointed under the new Suga cabinet, is making arrangements to visit the U.S. from Sept. 22 to 26 to meet with National Security Advisor O’Brien at the White House. The network said Kitamura is expected to explain the new foreign policy under the Suga administration, which will continue to be based on the U.S.-Japan alliance.
