On Sept. 26, the Okinawa Police arrested a U.S. Air Force staff sergeant stationed at Kadena Air Base on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (driving under the influence of alcohol). The arrest was made on a municipal road in Ihei, Chatan town.
The staff sergeant denies the charge, saying that he “thought the alcohol had left his system.”
