Hiroyuki Hosoda, chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party’s “Churato giren” parliamentary league for promoting Okinawa industry, announced on Sept. 25 that he will step down from the post and be succeeded by former LDP Policy Council Chairperson Fumio Kishida. Kishida served  as its first chairman and was formerly minister in charge of Okinawa affairs.
