COVID-19 testing centers to be set up at Narita Airport

TBS and TV Asahi reported that Narita International Airport Corporation and Nippon Medical School held a joint press conference this morning and announced that PCR centers to test departing travelers for COVID-19 will open at the First and Second Terminals of Narita Airport on Nov. 2. The networks said doctors and nurses of Nippon Medical School will be dispatched to the centers, where the results will be available as early as two hours after testing and negative test certificates will be issued. TV Asahi said that this will be the first time for such PCR centers to be set up at an airport in Japan, adding that Narita International Airport Corporation and Nippon Medical School are hoping that the establishment of such centers will lead to the resumption of international travel.
