U.S. frustrated with China’s violations of UN sanctions resolutions on DPRK

Yomiuri wrote that the U. S. government is becoming increasingly concerned and frustrated with China’s violations of UN sanctions resolutions on the DPRK, including its alleged involvement in coal shipments to North Korea. The paper wrote that some speculate that China has continued violating the resolutions based on the judgment that it is not necessary for it to cooperate with the United States amid friction with the Trump administration. The paper conjectured that whether the Biden administration will be able to produce results in its negotiations with Pyongyang will depend on whether the United States will be able to maintain the international coalition against the DPRK with the cooperation of Beijing.
