Monday’s Yomiuri wrote that Myanmar residents of Japan and others gathered in front of the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo on Sunday to protest the coup in Myanmar (Burma) and call for the release of State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi and other pro-democracy leaders. According to a group of Myanmar residents that was involved in organizing the event, more than 3,000 people participated in the rally in response to a call via social media.
