All national dailies wrote that Tokyo Olympics organizing committee President Hashimoto said on Thursday that she is hoping to set a direction on how to deal with spectators for the Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer by around March 25, when the nationwide torch relay is set to start. “It would be better to come out with a big-picture plan on spectators as soon as possible. I want to set the direction first at least,” Hashimoto told reporters after a meeting with Sports Agency Commissioner Murofushi. Hashimoto’s remarks came after International Olympic Committee President Bach said at a press conference on Wednesday that a decision on whether to allow spectators to attend the Games will be made in April or early May.
