Ministries hold first meeting of Osaka Expo liaison council

On Mar. 1, the Cabinet Office, the economy ministry, and 14 other government ministries held the first meeting of the 2025 Osaka Kansai Expo liaison council to report the status of preparations.


At the meeting, Minister for World Expo 2025 Shinji Inoue, who chairs the council, said, “This is a national project, so I want all the ministries to make preparations for the expo by abolishing bureaucratic silos and breaking free from old ways of doing things.” On this day, it was reported that guidelines for the flight tests of a “flying car” will be drawn up in fiscal 2021. The flying car is set to be the special highlight of the expo.
