TOKYO – The government on Tuesday appointed Japan’s new ambassadors to Kazakhstan, the Bahamas, Bahrain and Armenia.
Effective Tuesday, Jun Yamada, ambassador to Armenia, becomes envoy to Kazakhstan. Masaya Fujiwara assumes the role of ambassador to the Bahamas while retaining his two other posts as envoy to Jamaica and Belize.
On Thursday, Masayuki Miyamoto, consul general in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, will become ambassador to Bahrain. Masanori Fukushima, consul general in Khabarovsk, Russia, will take up the role of envoy to Armenia.
