Polling methodology: The survey was conducted by telephone on a computer-aided random digit dialing (RDD) basis on March 20–21, 2021, targeting voters across the nation. However, the survey excluded landline numbers in some areas of Fukushima Prefecture. The survey covered 708 randomly selected households with eligible voters nationwide [by landline phone], with responses collected from 529 people. A total of 1,335 people were accessed through their mobile phones, of which 525 responded.

An earthquake with an epicenter off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture occurred on March 20. For this reason, polling was temporarily suspended of landlines in Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima Prefectures and of mobile phones.
