Kono says GOJ to secure enough vaccine for elderly people in June

NHK reported that Administrative Reform Minister Kono disclosed today that the GOJ is likely to secure enough doses of COVID-19 vaccine for the 36 million people aged 65 or older in Japan by the end of June. Kono reportedly said that a total of 38,495 boxes of Pfizer’s vaccine will be supplied by the end of June premised on EU approval. This will reportedly be sufficient to administer two doses of the vaccine to the approximately 36 million elderly people across Japan.
