Yomiuri and Mainichi wrote that they have learned from multiple government sources that the GOJ and the Olympic organizing committee are making arrangements to delay their decision on the number of spectators to be allowed to attend the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer from April to June based on the judgment that it would be difficult to make a decision this month due to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases. The papers wrote that the GOJ, the organizing committee, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the International Olympic Committee, and the International Paralympic Committee are planning to hold an online meeting on April 28 to discuss the matter.
