Broadcasters led with reports on the GOJ’s intention to formally decide to reimpose a COVID-19 state of emergency for Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hyogo as early as tomorrow (NHK), and the 843 new COVID-19 cases reported in Tokyo yesterday and Tokyo’s formal request to be placed under a state of emergency for the third time (NTV, TV Asahi, TBS, Fuji TV).
