On June 4 Iwatani Corp. released a mid-term business plan in which it says it will invest 60 billion yen in the hydrogen business over three years until fiscal 2023. It will increase the number of hydrogen stations, which supply fuel to fuel-cell vehicles, in Japan and the U.S. by 90% to a total of 106. The company will make a priority investment in the hydrogen business as it believes demand for hydrogen will grow as a next-generation energy source. (Abridged)
