Regarding a series of data breaches at Japanese government agencies involving Fujitsu’s project information sharing tool, the Immigration Services Agency announced on June 24 that it was also affected by the illegal access.
The information leaked from the agency involved outsourced operations related to a data system that the agency had been using until January 2021. It included the telephone numbers of offices inside the agency as well as the addresses of related facilities and people in charge of various projects. No wrongful usage of information or damage to the agency’s operations has been confirmed.
